Andrea Petkovic def Jarmila Gajdosova 5-7 7-6 (5) 6-2

Cincinnati First Round:
Andrea Petkovic def Jarmila Gajdosova 5-7 7-6 (5) 6-2

This was one of the worst matches I've seen. Luckily, it was comedically bad, so I wasn't un-entertained.

Let me start off by giving you guys the stat of the match- Gajdosova's unforced error count: 79. It was like she was playing baseball. She was just clubbing the ball and hoping that it would go in. And it almost worked. She was up 4-1 in the Tiebreak in the second set and could have won.

Luckily for Gajdosova, Petkovic was playing terribly as well. She hit very few winners and hit many unforced errors. Luckily for Petkovic, Gajdosova was worse, or else, she would have been knocked out just like the other two top Germans, Lisicki and Goerges.

Back to Gajdosova's lousy play, her touch shots were equally as bad as her groundstrokes. She tried to hit a dropshot early in the first set when she was a couple feet behind the baseline. Needless to say, the ball almost didn't make it to the net before it bounced.

Her serving was terrible as well. She had 14 double faults, and her first serve percentage was below 50%. Once she hit a first serve that landed outside the baseline. And to think that, earlier this year, she was on her way up the rankings and won Hobart...

I've attached a picture of the post-match stats. Look if you dare, but beware. You will be horrified.

Don't say I didn't warn you...
